The State Route 237 Calaveras Boulevard Improvement Project (EA 04-4A280) will implement complete streets features to improve bicycle and pedestrian travel and provide three through lanes in each direction between Abel Street and Milpitas Boulevard. Four overhead structures over UPRR and BART facilities will be replaced. Complete streets elements on this conventional highway segment of SR 237 will include Class IV bikeways, protected intersections and connections to adjacent bicycle and pedestrian networks.
